The Needles and Knots Retreat for 2023 is coming up October 23-26! It will be held at the Historic Provo Library at Academy Square in Provo, Utah. The $275 fee covers entrance to the retreat, group activities, gifts, and a group meal on the last day. Additional meals and lodging will be on your own. The theme this year is “Keeping You in Stitches” so come prepared for a lot of good laughs and some fun stitching. We are so excited to see you and hope you can attend! Sign ups are now open, so secure your spot with your $100 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance can be paid at the same time or by Sept 15th.

This year we are excited to announce that we have a national teacher coming to our retreat. Her name is Wendy Peatross from “From the Heart NeedleArt”. She will teach and share her cross stitch talents in classes and a trunk show. She will also have an exclusive pattern/kit available for one of her classes. Of course we are also highlighting other techniques like knitting, crochet, wool applique, embroidery, cotton applique, etc. Registration for classes will open in a few weeks.

Wendy’s Bio:

Wendy began designing in 2000 with a design partner. After five years she went off on her own and began From the Heart NeedleArt. She loves Samplers. Her full catalog of designs includes many original samplers in a variety of sizes and styles. The Quaker series offers traditional quaker motifs with fun themes for everyday or holiday stitching. Several monthly series are available to match any interest. In 2020 she started reproducing antique samplers which added historical variety to her stitching. Wendy loves to stitch with overdyed cotton and silk threads. There are always thoughtful conversions to DMC so anyone will enjoy stitching her designs. She and her husband live in Idaho with their two cats. They have four children and eight grandkids. When she's not designing or stitching, she can be found in her flower garden or quilting in her sewing room.
